I&#8217;ve connected it successfully to an Arduino lately, so when I got my Raspberry Pi some days ago it was just a matter of time to try connecting the two:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-208\" alt=\"Raspberry Pi with LCD\" src=\"http:\/\/jcoder.me\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/IMG_1824_cut_resize.jpg\" width=\"437\" height=\"319\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jcoder.me\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/IMG_1824_cut_resize.jpg 800w, https:\/\/jcoder.me\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/IMG_1824_cut_resize-300x218.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 437px) 100vw, 437px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I followed the nice <a href=\"http:\/\/learn.adafruit.com\/drive-a-16x2-lcd-directly-with-a-raspberry-pi\/overview\" target=\"_blank\">instructions by Adafruit<\/a>, connected all the wires, ran the code, and everything worked great.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The code is written in Python, so that&#8217;s maybe the next language to learn for me ;)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The GPIO capabilities of the Raspberry Pi look very promising, so I might use them regularly in future projects, especially when a decent amount of storage or a network connection is required (both provided by the Raspberry Pi in a very convenient way).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Do you remember the LCD display?
